Environmental Management and Impact Assessment

Environmental legislation places a new responsibility on local government and other government institutions to formulate and adopt environmental management frameworks to guide decision-making on new development within their jurisdictions. Regulatory requirements also dictate that property developers should undertake Environmental Impact Assessments prior to project approval. The environmental consultant primarily acts as co-ordinator in formulating management frameworks or conducting impact assessments in collaboration with other members of multi-disciplinary teams.
